Almond-Banana Overnight Oats Recipes

Almond-Banana Overnight Oats

If mornings are chaos in your house, overnight oats are a small act of kindness toward your future self. You stir everything into a jar before bed, and breakfast is waiting for you — creamy, naturally sweet, and ready to grab on the way out the door.

No cooking, no measuring gymnastics, no excuse to skip breakfast. This almond-banana version is our favorite because ripe banana does the sweetening for you, so there’s very little added sugar and a whole lot of flavor.

Into the jar

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup milk of choice (almond milk keeps with the theme)
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • ½ ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • A pinch of cinnamon

The whole method

  1. Add everything to a jar or container with a lid.
  2. Stir well, making sure the almond butter and banana are mixed through.
  3. Seal and refrigerate overnight, or for at least four hours.
  4. In the morning, top with sliced banana, a few chopped almonds, and a drizzle more almond butter if you’re feeling generous.

Make it a habit

Prep three or four jars at once and line them up in the fridge. A row of ready breakfasts is a surprisingly powerful nudge — when the healthy option is also the easiest one, you’ll reach for it without thinking.

The best breakfast is the one that’s actually there when you’re running late.

Play with the toppings to keep it interesting: a spoonful of berries, a little cocoa, or a scatter of toasted coconut. The oats stay good in the fridge for up to three days, so a few minutes tonight can cover most of your week.
